We find a fantastic hidey hole at Mill Creek, near Reedsville. Not only is it beautiful and quiet, but it is extremely sheltered and empty! (nothing to bump into)apart from three blue herons and a swimming deer. We put out masses of anchor chain and our new riding sail, baton down the hatches and wait. . . .
if I have said it has been cold before, it wasn't, not compared to now. Our anchor does its job and we wake up in the same place (not that we slept for long!)
Next morning the decks are covered in ice, the wonderful heater is working overtime and the air smells of snow. It might be freezing but it is stunning out there.(see photos)
