The days were almost as entertaining as the nights in the vicinity of Aroha island. To the North, a coast road called 'million dollar view' ,( quite a claim for NZ) , hugs the coast line for 16 kms. This is when you need a very patient husband and no cars following you as you almost burst with anticipation of taking 'the perfect shot'. 
Sadly none of the above were available at the time. . . .
As we passed the numerous unrepeatable photo opportunities, the weather ( and the photographer} flashed from moody  and dramatic to overpoweringly stifling. We were nearing mid day and the steepest ascent we have had to overcome in 20 minutes, Pauls Rock. .. ..
