As sunset approached we moved slowly on seeing whale spouts in almost every direction and several large splashes, not too close! Unlike the large storm building behind us and to the sides. . .As Bob pointed out, there was a bright patch in the distance ahead, as the whole sky lit up around us,flash after flash after flash. The storm followed us for about 4 hours with strong gusts. It seemed that it would never end. .
At least darkness doesn't last too long at this time of year and eventually Portland Harbour came into sight
By the end of the day Portland yacht services had assessed all the alterations we wanted on the boat, Bob had finally resolved our charging problems, we had filled the fridge and the skies were looking a lot brighter!
