Title: The other Biscay

For some reason it had escaped our notice that we were embarking on a voyage across seas akin to the Bay of Biscay and, according Jimmy Cornell,The Cape of Good Hope. Still buoyant with my special acquisitions, 6 Bermudan onions and a two bags of sea glass,I feel confident that this shorter leg will be a breeze compared with the last. . . . . .
Needless to say, it wasn't quite as we had hoped, but our new found skills of heaving too came into their own three nights in a row. Since leaving Tortola we had crossed the deepest tough of water in the world, the Tropic of Cancer and the Bermuda Triangle ,and we still had the gulf stream and Cape Hatteras to Enjoy!
We did have the delightful company of several pods of dolphins nearly every day which is always special, and we also witnessed a spectacular thunder and lightening storm all around our boat! After all this we arrived in Hampton Virginia at 3pm on a Friday afternoon in slip number 13. . . . .
