Suakin April 6, 2019

We made a  one day stop in Suakin to get fuel and provisions. Such a contrast to the Maldives. What a poor country ! There were donkey carts and goats on the streets. But the people were super friendly and helpful. We had dinner at a local, very primitive restaurant and had one of the best grilled chickens we have had in a long time.  Fuel was provisioned in jerry cans and we found a decent supermarket. Our agent Muhamad was really helpful and got the paperwork done really fast and easy. We left for Egypt after only one day expecting northerlies on our way north.
