Phuket, Thailand 23 January 2019

After almost two months in Thailand we are now starting the long trip “home” to Mallorca. Lisanne is now serviced, cleaned and polished  and all repairs are done. We will leave Phuket tomorrow and first sail to Similan and Surin Islands which are very beautiful islands with good diving. We will hopefully dive the “Richelieu Rock”. Then we continue the 350 NM to the Andamans where we will stay for a while as the diving sites there should be spectacular. Andamans belong to India and it’s been really hard to obtain Visas as it is a restricted area. Then on to Sri Lanka. 800 NM over the Indian Ocean which we hopefully will do in 5 days if the winds are good. We are really looking forward to get out on the water again after a long time with only coastal cruising. The crew consists of Eric, Matt and Christine. We plan to meet up with the other two “breakaway Oysters” Calliope and Miss Tiggy on Surin Island and do the crossing together.
