Hi all,

It is intriguing that the short distance across the Straits of Bonifacio from Sardinia to Corsica is a few miles but culturally the difference is vast.

Ajaccio on the west coast of Corsica is the capital and it is very ‘French’. In the main square on the early mornings there is street market and with it comes the french passion for fresh produce, cheeses, fruits and vegetables.

The amazing colours like an artists palette, fresh cured meats, olives, breads, croissants etc etc, a frenetic atmosphere, the sound of french….Bonjour madam, monsieur, petit, grande, au revoir……etc.
