Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean after Sicily.
It is 260 km long  and 135 km wide. The north east coast of the Costa Smeralda has the adjacent archipelago of the Maddalena islands and just 7 miles north across the Bonifacio Straits is Corsica . The close proximity of these lovely places and  anchorage's is obvious together with the interesting mix of Italian and French history and culture.

Here are some photos of the area we sailed around.....Olbia, Portisco, Pevero, Cannigione, Island of Spargi, Santa Teresa Gallura, Porto Rafael, Maddalena, Rada Mezzo Schifo, Island of Caprera and Saline bay.

Love to all
