On the 28th August with a forecast for light easterlies the wind turned into a 21 true knot northerly, so we lifted anchor from Porto della Taverna and motor sailed in 20-24 app north through the shallow Cavali channel by the island of Tavolara and north to the Gulf of Olbia.
We crossed the gulf in increasing wind with a nasty swell, Tioram slamming her bow a little into it, very unusual as she takes seas very well.
We continued motor sailing reaching the Gulfi di Aranchi with the wind dropping in the protected bay to 12/14 t knots and a much calmer sea.

We anchored in lovely turquoise water over sand, glad of a good sheltered anchorage with the anchor well set for a calm nights sleep.
