Carriacou 17th- 18th- January.

We sailed from Petite St Vincent in crystal clear water to Tyrrell Bay in Carriacou which officially took us out of the Grenadines and into the territorial waters of Grenada.

We anchored over night and ventured ashore the next morning to explore a little and seek out local breakfast.

We found an amazing local boat yard----old, beaten up by years of trade winds and washed by time.

There were several boats being worked upon and lifted in and out of the water with efficiency.

We noticed that the type of boats and owners seemed to be different from the Grenadine Islands. In Tyrrell bay were the 'die hards', interesting travellers whose boats looked like they had been around the world and back---- and owners alike--------

We walked to the yacht club where on asking for,' breakfast??' , we were directed to the house below to ask for 'Tracy'. Out came , Tracy, a young girl with a beautiful smile who offered salt fish or eggs/bacon for breakfast. We sat on the balcony as her only guests watching the boat yard come to life and the melting pot of travellers passing through--- and others who had clearly decided this was there time to stop travelling.

The rawness of the yacht club had its own honest quality and we will let the photo speak for itself.

On the 18th Jan we upped anchor and set sail north sailing past Palm Island, Union, Mayreau and back to the beautiful Bequia.

Love to all,

Tina and Tony x x
