Hi Everyone,

 

We left Preveza on the mainland and headed south back through the Levkas canal and out into the very sheltered waters which lie between the large island of Levkas and the mainland to the east.

This area becomes almost like an inland sea with the islands of Meganisi, Kalamos and Kastos all sheltering in an area circled by the mainland, Ithaca, Kefalonia and Levkas.

Meganisi is about 5 miles long and 3 miles wide at its largest point. We stayed for one night at Spartakhori , stern to the quay.

The steep hike up many steps to the lovely village at the top gave us a great view of the bay and Tioram below---- photos below.
