On the 3rd Sept we lifted our anchor from Serifos and sailed and motored in variable winds the 58 N miles to Poros in the Saronic Islands.

We were in Poros on 9th June, just over 12 weeks ago and we can’t believe how many beautiful islands we have seen in that time.
We moored stern to the quay in the lovely location and Jackie and John set off to explore the waterfront.
We enjoyed a nice evening together and a calm restful night which recharged us for the next trip.

Poros town is like a sunny ‘Dartmouth with the island on one side and the mainland on the other creating a narrow channel, the early morning light this morning, the 4th was lovely as we left the quay and motored away from the amphitheatre- like town.

We motored and stopped for a break to anchor in Korfos bay on mainland Polepponese , a lovely anchorage but we decided not to swim after seeing a number of large jelly.
After 39 miles in light 9 knots of wind we anchored in  a bay called Kalamaki for the evening and night ready to go through the Corinthian canal on the 5th Sept.
