We slipped our lines from the marina in Vathy at 12.36 hrs  to head east to the island of Kalamos.

In light winds we motored in glorious sunshine. We anchored in a bay on the north tip of the island in the strait of Ak. Asproyiali. The bay has a white beach and is said to have been a favourite of Jackie Kennedy- Onassis and where the Onassis yacht ,'Christina' was regularly seen at anchor. The hillside here is covered a type of tree only native to the island of Kalamos.

At 16.40 hrs we lifted anchor and headed to Kalamos harbour, standing off  at the entrance for some time to let the two charter fleets more up. Again surprisingly busy for this time of year.

By 17.50 hrs we were moored to the waterfront in the last slot for Tioram and then watched as boats arrived and crossed anchors in all directions.........fun to un crochet the next morning.

Lovely atmosphere on the waterfront on the eve.

Love to all
