Dog with Attitude, Cannigione.

Hi All,

Well one of the joys of travelling is always the characters you meet en route. I am an animal lover but I don’t go all gooey at the sight of a lovely dog……however, this ‘Dog with attitude’, cleary doesn’t think he is a dog at all, he clearly thinks he is human, a celebrity who ‘owns’ the street of Cannigione.

Last year we first saw ‘Dog with attitude’ wandering around then streets of Cannigione begging for food as well as crashing out on any bar/restauarant patio for siesta in true Italian style.

Concerned about him, I asked a local lady if she knew who owned him, she replied, ’the whole of Cannigione !’

This year -dog with attitude- has gained a collar and so an owner. He now wears a red neckerchief to match his personality. You might think his bohemian days of running from one bar to the next seeking food is over.

No… dog with attitude can still be seen doing the rounds, also barking outside an old ladies house until she feeds him.

He still does his siesta outside the Bamboo cafe on the waterfront. Clearly someone has kindly claimed him and given him a home, but ‘Dog with attitude’, still thinks he’s a free spirit, that he’s human and now with his bright red neckerchief, still likes the bohemian life.
