On 17^th June we slipped our warps from Sami, Kefalonia at 11.25 hrs. and motored out into the flat glass-like calm of Sami bay heading for Ayios Eufimia.  The short sail is only 7nm so we gently floated around the bay making fresh water with our de-salination unit.

Whether it was our slow speed or the hum of the generator but 4 or 5 dolphins came to swim around….. the first we have seen this year. They were playing on the surface, but seemed nervous and didn’t come to play around the bow as normal…… possibly they had young calves.

We anchored briefly off a lovely white pebbled beach near Ayios Eufumia. The pebbles make the water appear very turquoise. By 15.45 we were moored stern to the waterfront in Ayios Eufimia.
