The explosion of the volcano in Santorini was one of the largest in the history of the Earth.

 

The magma which spewed out of the explosion was in fact---thirty cubic ‘KILOMETRES’----  huge !! and not thirty cubic metres as wrongly described in our Santorini blog.

 

Can you imagine the scale of it ??????
