What a great days sail. We left Capo Cada at around
12-00pm after our first complete nights sleep for a week. Another bacon and egg
breakfast, (how long can this continue) The forecast was for south East winds up
to 20 knots and increasing so we set of for an anchorage in the north of the
island which is protected from the south west. With two reefs in the main and
struck off north. With 25 knots of wind on the starboard quarter we went let a
train. With Pete on the Helm we set a new reaching speed record for Tioram of
11.1 knots through the water. Our destination was Cannigione a well protected
bay on the north east corner of Sardinia. After 35 miles entered the bay. With
the winds still blowing hard we decided to drop anchor in "Punta di li
Cossi" a small bay in the east of the bay. This gave us good protection
form the gusting wind and a sound nights sleep.
The coment of the day came from Debs. Peter cooked
dinner and due to our depleting food stocks we produceda meal that Debs referred
to as " Prison Food". I think we need to find a supermarket.
