A busy night approaching Messina, lots of small fishing boats and pot buoys. It was a night spent looking at the radar screen and AIS. We were lucky to have a full moon which helps when trying to identify targets. Its also surprisingly cold at 3am in the morning. Anyway safely through and the sun is now rising in the east and warming us and the boat. Looking forward to travelling through the straits today and then setting a course to the Eolie islands just north of Sicily.
