Only 150 miles to go to our destination in Sardinia. We have had a good days sail. The winds have been alittle stronger than forecast and we managed to fly our Spinnaker for around 5 hours making good progress to the north west and the Costa Smeralda coastline. Another 24 hours and we should be insite of land. We had company today for a few hours when a small 30ft sail boat crossed our path heading north. Looked like a single hander, we could only make out one person on deck. We tried to make radio contact, but no answer. Looked like an Italian flag, may be heading into the Bay of Naples on the Italian mainland. We currently have two small birds hitching a lift to land. We have had to chase them out of the cabin on a couple of occasions. Friendly enough but currently refusing bread and water. This happens alot when at sea you get small birds that have lost their way or been blown out to sea seaking a place to rest and find land. Another Dolphin sighting today, played around the boat for just a few minutes and then off. Looking forward to sighting land and a full nights sleep.
