Wow...unbelievable.... Fire planes in Pinarellu, Corsica. 4th August 2014

Well those of you who follow our blogs will remember my blog about us motoring in late evening sun around the south tip of Kefalonia, Greece.
On a balmy evening we had a fire plane try to land to collect water very, very close to us which made us both convinced he didn't see us till the last moment in the sun.
Well in Pinarellu on a calm afternoon at anchor we had fire planes circling and then......yes landing in close quarters to the anchored yachts.
The one plane landed soooo close to an anchored yacht that the crew quickly lifted their mainsail, convinced, we are sure that they thought the pilot had not seen them
Also a group of canoeists looked very concerned as they paddled quickly out of the way huddling together in a line, watching amazed as the plane swooped down in front of them to collect water.
No doubt the pilot did a good recky on his first flyby but the photos don't do justice to the close proximity and heart stopping moments as we watched the plane circle and do it again ! !!!!
