At  08.30 on 31st August we left Kos Marina and motored north into 4-5 knots of light winds the 41 N miles to the Island of Patmos. We wanted to make northerly mileage to get a better wind angle for our trip west.

In one day we passed the islands of Kalymnos, Leros and Lipsi---- islands close together which we have sailed around for the past few weeks. We motored into Skala bay where we had previously sailed with our friends Carol, Pat, Alex and Imogen.

Jackie and John were impressed with the quaintness of Patmos and it was nice for us to go back again.
We enjoyed a nice evening together and settled down for the night, only to be woken at 1 am by a Catamaran alongside us who had dragged his bow anchor in the ferry surge and dropped back onto the quay wall.
He lifted and reset and we tried to get back to sleep before our 06.30 early start the next morning.
