Hello from Tioram

Well we seem to have almost made it. The expected blow last night did not materialise and we had only 20 knots of wind behind. The night was also dry but cold so not too bad for at last night at sea.

The sailing is easy with just the genoa out and, although this sometimes offends John's desire for speed, the skipper humours him and decides that for an easy life the rig stays as is.

We have spruced the ship up a litle for our entry to harbour and even put on some clean clothes except for Malte who hasn't got many. He may win the prize for the sailor who crosses the Atlantic with least garments.

James is now a hardened sailor calling the ropes by the right names and commenting on the incorrect use of knots. Tina has gone into a flurry of pre arrival emails and has summarised the trip in a blog soon to be posted.

The crew are indeed very happy, the champers is on ice and the beer in the fridge. James is salivating about a cheese burger and John a nights sleep without a watch call.

Thanks to you all for your comments on our blogs. If I sober up in time I may round off with one more effort but dont bank on it.

And the final prize goes to Tina for last nights ham cum all other leftovers in a white wine sauce which tasted delicious.

Cheers from Tioram and happy sailing to you all.
