Galaxidi
Well here we are in paradise! Actually we are in a very beautiful little harbour on the north coast of the Gulf of Corinth and it is one of the loveliest places we have visited. The Greeks appreciate it and coachloads come from Athens at weekends, but apparently not many foreigners holiday here – their loss! The backdrop to the pretty town is the snowy peak of Mount Parnassus and its lower slopes are the site of the ruins of ancient Delphi with its famous oracle. We reached here after a 6 hour motor along the gulf. We had it to ourselves apart from a couple of visits from some friendly dolphins. Motoring in zero wind can be boring, but on this occasion it was bliss with the glassy seas, warm sunshine and fabulous views of snow covered mountains on both sides of the gulf. We felt privileged to be out there and wondered why no-one else was!
