Our final day as guests of Lymington harbourmaster.  As proof that we’ve already had more hot sunshine this year than we did on the whole of our journey last year, here we are on the town quay.

We were beginning to think the day would never come, but here we are at last.  The house sale completed last Friday and the money is tucked away safely (we hope!), removing the last obstacle to getting underway.

Weather permitting; we leave at 4 a.m. tomorrow on the ebb tide, with son Stuart joining us tonight.  1st leg is to Dartmouth, then we’re off to Gijon in N. Spain on Thursday.  Brother Hugh may be joining us before we leave the UK, work permitting.

As we did before we went off last year, we’ll be spending our final night on the Royal Lymington club pontoon.
