What a fantastic coastline around Cabo de Gata (marking the turn northwards again).  The Cape is a very striking mix of rocks – bright white chalk or limestone peaking out of enveloping lava which flows in interesting shapes everywhere.  Altogether a much more interesting coast to sail along.  And we did even sail for a while, in very light winds and later a spell of strong winds and frequent tacking to reach our destination.  In an attempt to find shelter from a strong swell we found a small cove near St Jose, but it took us 4 attempts before we were securely anchored and could enjoy a swim from the boat.
