A sneaky night at anchor in Turkey to break journey & have a swim!  It seems that a lot of these anchorages have Turkish tavernas, mostly enterprising enough to provide moorings for yachties who are also customers.  Not having cleared in yet, we declined the insistent invitations from the local shack on the beach but these temporary summer restaurants and the girls busy selling clothing and textiles from their boats highlighted the difference between Greece and Turkey in terms of entrepreneurial energy.  On the shore were the remains of the ancient Greek city of Loryma, proving the point that Turkey is full of such places which you can stumble across all along this coast.  For obvious historical reasons, the Turks don’t strive to protect their Greek heritage!
