We stopped here overnight to break journey en route to Milos.  The huge bay offers great shelter, but it’s not very pretty being a bit of an industrial archaeology site really, with the remains of several former iron ore mines.  It has its own grandeur though and the hillsides were once heavily farmed too.

I must mention the most amazing live shell I found under the boat at the last anchorage (Kithnos).  It was a huge marine snail, almost too heavy to lift out of the water with one hand.  I failed to find out what it was on the internet – any ideas anyone?
