An early start from Lagos before a long day's sail in forecast good winds - which never arrived!  We ended up motoring most of the day (less than an hour with the gennaker flying), and (due to not reading a page of the pilot book) we ended up having to wait for the tide to enter the river Guadiana.  Still it was a good break en-route.  Lindsay had a swim way out to sea - with the sea temperature at last over 23C, plus we had a long call from Sally.  So I was excused not planning the timing correctly!

It was the first really hot day’s travel - we even had to put the bimini/sunshade up to get out of the heat.  Arriving back in Spain in the evening it was still really hot, and we joined the paseo looking for somewhere to eat at 11p.m.  Ayamonte is a really nice town, with several squares full of tiled benches for us oldies to rest on.  As usual in Spain, really young kids were up very late eating with their parents and being well behaved.  And Lindsay can now communicate easily again!
