First full day after a quiet night of sailing. Two cruise ships passing by en-route to San Juan and St Thomas (we talked to one to check the AIS was transmitting satisfactorily thanks to the new GPS reciever position!) - thankfully they knew of our presence and position. The morning sun brought some stronger winds - picking up to a F5 (17-21 knots) - back into Magic Friday's traditional downiwnd rig with both headsails (jib and goosweinged genoa) - perfectly balanced boat and speeds approaching 11 knots as we surfed down a few waves. Clear blue skies, nothing else on the horizon all day - a great start to the journey!
