Early start to catch the last of the outgoing tide, we say our "goodbyes" to Cumberland Island and the many pleasant stays we have had. and slip silently around the southern edge back into the breakwaters and open sea. Course set of 008M, heading north and back to Brunswick.

Passing by a group of turtles surfacing in the calm waters before light winds freshened a little and a chance to shake out the jib as well as the main and set sail. Arriving at our waypoint in 4 hours from St Mary's inlet! Sheets to wash and dry as we sail past the lighthouse of St Simmons and Driftwood Beach of Jekyll Island.

Tied up on our usual dock space Brunswick Landing Marina for the last time! Some bubbly to celebrate watching the sun paint the tops of the marshes a hint of red and then turning the sky orange as the ball of fire drops below the horizon and finally paints the clouds red as a firework display!
