Excitement to start the day - activity on the dock - everyone looking to the north (Cape Canaveral launch site) - there was to be a rocket launch at 10:00 a.m.! Perfect - we were less than 3 miles away - we should get a great view. Apparently the rocket was to re-fuel the space station with a plan to return the carrier as well. Time approached - was that the roar of rocket engines we could hear....looking up into the sky - nothing. Unfortunately the launch was cancelled (again as we later learnt). Don't know why - just that it wouldn't be today. Pity! Somehow - we think the Pelicans knew as they sat nonchalantly asleep on boaters pushpits!

So, instead it was a trip to Publix to re-provision - bike out running gear on - off we went. Winding our way along past dockside restaurants (one booked for the evening for us), space named streets e.g. Astronaut Road... - then just under 4 miles later - we arrived at the supermarket! A little further than expected - but a pleasant route. Stocked up, balanced on the bike and in the basket (hair cut as well) - we set off back to the boat via a different route taking in the pier and Atlantic beach front at Cocoa Beach with bike lanes almost all the way back - another 4 miles!

A late breakfast (we were hungry), refueled the diesel tank from on-board containers a short rest - back out to walk to the restaurant "Milikens Reef". A live band, a "tiki" bar, a window table and great food! A walk back to end the day.
