Krabi immigration have different rules to Phuket 30 miles across the bay.  It would take 12 pages to explain it all but suffice to say they will only give me a 30 day visa which cannot be extended.  So I have to deposit a bond of about 400 quid, fly out and fly back.  Trip number two to Singapore.  1,000 quid all in but at last I manage to buy super tough tyres for my Brompton bicycle. With the right stamp in my passport I can now apply for a 15 month visa.  A snip at another 1,000 quid.  Singapore has just been voted the most expensive city in the world.  I can personally vouch for that.
