About 1,000 nm to go. The wind has been very fickle and the forecasts quite inaccurate. But at least the wind is always behind me. Some days I have made less than 100 miles but right now things are better. But still no rain so no fresh water showers. I am nearly three weeks at sea with, perhaps, another 10 days to go. Fingers crossed...

The fleet heading from Galapagos to Marquesas on our radio net (there are others)is spread over 2,000 miles and consists of about 15 boats. Contrary to what I said in the last update about boats not being close to each one other boat (Spruce, the net organiser) appeared at sunrise directly astern. By coffee time she was beside me and we took the opportunity to take 'photos of each other. So I had to quickly find a pair of shorts to put on!
