For a whole variety of reasons I am heading back east, Malaysia first then Thailand to try a warranty claim on my defective batteries.  Also some more lovely varnishing.

The harbour here is not too clean but the Lauren L pops in.  At 300 feet she is quite a big charter boat.  Taking 40 passengers at a time and with a crew of 40 they will be well looked after.  And so they should be at 700,000 Euro a week!  Mind you a few years ago they all missed their lunch ashore when the captain put her on a rock in the Seychelles.  The chart clearly showed the rock had a depth of 1.7 metres.  But the captain read that as 7.7 metres.  Crunch!  A mistake anybody could make.

I am moving through the nationalities.  Gina, this time from Switzerland, is coming back with me.  As a fully qualified psychiatric nurse she will be useful to have aboard…
