I arrived in Tahiti early on Monday morning.  Harbour Control talked me around the numerous fast ferries and then the airport runway.  I got a space in the marina so that I could (in theory) get work done.  But the people are dead slow and stop and next to useless.  But the vast majority of the population is very friendly and helpful.  Complete strangers offer you lifts if they overhear where you are going.  When I see my way through the jobs that need to be done - mostly electrical and electronic - I will decide what and where next.
