A very Shelley Christmas
Shelley arrived right on schedule, in other words at the start of Happy Hour. As soon as we had some provisioning done out we went around the islands for about six days and then back for some more food. Our next stop was Penang where we spending Christmas. On the main part of the passage we actually had some wind; unusual here for December.
A quick trip into town to be told by the Indian Visa Centre that they would not issue visas for the Andaman Islands to non Malaysians. I really wanted to go to the Andaman Islands but they are not the be all and end all. Bangkok had also been refusing to issue visas but suddenly somebody got one somehow…
In the meantime Salt Spring Island in Vancouver where Shelley comes from has been trashed by 65 knot winds. Flat calm and bright sunshine here.
A hike through the National Park to a pristine beach and then to prep the boat for Christmas. Not that we are staying on the boat for Christmas….
