The South
West Monsoon is unpredictable. The winds
are normally very light, almost nothing in fact. And then it decides to howl at
perhaps 50 knots. Not often but you get
no warning. And the thunderstorms are a
laugh. They give wind of 20 knots from
the north east. So picking a place to
anchor is a lottery. Making life in the
marina an easy and safe option.
There are
plenty of liveaboards here so happy hour is always well attended. And a free barbeque on Monday night. Town is a short cycle away now that I have
got my Brompton going. After replacing
spokes and inner tubes. Brompton spokes
are fragile for some reason; they even break when the bike is stowed away.
I’ve decided
that I need a crew…
