At 04 24S 093 23W. Good radio net each day at 1330 GMT, about 0730 local time. Only three boats on passage to Marquesas at present but about 15 will leave in the next week. So, three days out. 300 nm made good the wind has been light and of mixed direction; but better than expected for this area. I am continuing to head SW looking for the SE Trade Winds which I expect to find at about 5 or 6 degrees south identified by a host of fluffy white clouds. It is important to avoid the violent squalls associated with the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (Doldrums). Then I can turn west and head to the Marquesas and it should be downhill all the way. Note the use of the word SHOULD...
