I intend to leave for Whangarei on Sunday stopping at some little anchorage on the way. I will initially go to Marsden Cove Marina, where later in the week there is a major party (for no good reason) including a Maori feast.
I have been resting up, tidying the boat and doing some walks. The coastal walk to Paihia takes about 1 1/2 hours and has stunning scenery - pity my underwater camera no longer takes pictures above the water either. Yet another replacement on a very long list. But there will be lots of great pictures in later editions.
When I finally get to Wild Fox's resting spot in Whangarei town itself I can make plans and dates for the re-fit and my trip to the north of the North Island and the south of the South Island. This will almost certainly involve buying a car; quite easy here. There is even a company who will sell you the car with a guaranteed buy back price at the end of six months. How's that for service?
