Arriving in
Viet Nam was a culture shock. I did not
know what to expect in this communist country.
After the poverty of Myanmar there were all these bright shiny cars and
busses. Bright lights and expensive
shops. Even a Marks and Spencer so I can
buy some underpants and know that they will fit!
The whole
story about the war is naturally one sided.
But you expect that. Especially at the Cu Chi tunnels where the soldiers
survived in remarkable conditions and were very inventive. Well, they had to be as the north had very
little money.
