Another
pre-dawn start sees some of us heading off for a balloon flight. It is lovely watching them being inflated as
they light up inside. All sailors know
about the inconvenience of windshifts.
Well, we get one. Just after
landing carefully on the edge of a field with just enough room to lay the
envelope down on a clear and level surface the wind turns through 180 degrees,
the basket capsizes and the envelope falls on top of a thorny bush. Much to the embarrassment of the pilot. And much to the amusement of the locals.
