I got up at 0415 to get here to see the sun rise behind Angkor Wat and no sun.  It did rise but too much cloud. It took 700,000 people 35 years to build this.  Some payroll but then the King was rich.  It is the biggest temple in the world and is surrounded by 400 others including the one used by Harrison Ford and company in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Interestingly the temple was eventually abandoned when the King moved to Phnom Phen.  Apparently he had heard that the resturaunts were better there...
