What a difference a day makes. The last 24 hours have
been marvelous, and fast.
Hours sailed: 24
Hours sailed in the proper direction: 24
Ground covered: 180 miles
Number of calamities: 0
Number of times squashed between two thunderstorm lines:
0
Number of times all electronic equipment was shoved into the
oven for safe keeping in lightening infested area: 0
Current Heel angle: 5-8 degrees
Waves: tiny
Can't get much better than this. The captain and crew
are holding up well and don't even seem to mind 3 days of eating warmed over
casserole of some sort or another for dinner. The highlight tonight might
be freshly cooked pasta. Woo hoo!
We expect to arrive in Galle, Sri Lanka next Monday or
Tuesday. Bruce says we shouldn't run into any nasty weather in the near
future, but the winds are going to get light and perhaps go in front of us
tomorrow. Ah well, we'll worry about that tomorrow.
