Before the stories of Fiji are told, here are a
couple of pictures from our Tonga-to-Fiji four day sail.
Picture 1 - Day 1 sunset
Picture 2 - Don's triple back-flip, double
twisting, blood spattering Pacific mahi-mahi
Picture 3 - Lady Kay was sailing right next to, in
front of, or behind us the entire trip and Michael happened to catch a triple
back-flip, double twisting Pacific mahi-mahi too (shhh - don't tell Don, but
Michael's mahi-mahi was over 30 lbs as compared to Don's 18 lbs -
Michael gave us this picture to prove it)
Picture 4 - Michael and Jackie waving from Lady Kay
as they passed us (or were we passing them?)
Picture 5 - Don and I waving from Harmonie as we
passed Lady Kay (or were they passing us?). We have the downwind rig up
(two head sails poled out to either side) and are sailing on a nicely
smooth sea at the time this was taken.
Picture 6 - Don taking over for me at the helm just
after sunrise and at the tail end of the nasty rain storm we sailed through
during my watch on our last night before arriving in Fiji. This is one of
the few times we've actually had to take out our rain gear and wear
it.
