Finally.
After 2 retirement parties, 3 happy hours, 1 barn party, 2 open boat parties, 1 boat outing, several girls' nights out, 8 good-bye dinners and many bon voyage lunches, it seems we have properly said good-bye to everyone.

Thanks to all for the extremely fun times, many thoughtful gifts and enough booze to keep us both happy for several years.

Now it's time to get serious about this boating thing.  The boat is loaded and although not all projects have been completed (are they ever?), we leave tomorrow (7/1/07).  This would be the appropriate time to point out that we are leaving, per Don's plan, on schedule.  About a week ago, after I finished telling my father how stressed we were because we weren't sure if we could get it all done and be ready to sail on 7/1, Dad asked, "Why don't you just delay your planned departure and take an extra week to get ready if you need it?".  He forgot it was Don's schedule we were talking about.  Delays are not an option.  For those of you at Fisher-Price, let's be clear about this, we have met our schedule without the use of GCS.

So, off we will go tomorow.  We will leave Sodus around 7am (tough for me, but I won't have to talk to anyone, including Don) and sail to Stoney Island.  Stoney Island is a sparsely populated island that is located not too far from Sackett's Harbor, which is at the east end of Lake Ontario.  Dutch John Bay on Stoney Island is one of our favorite places to anchor due to its serene setting and fabulous sunsets.  For those of you on the Curbell Sales and Marketing management team, Dutch John Bay is also the scene of last year's toilet explosion.

Thanks again to everyone for a send-off we won't soon forget.  Stay in touch.
