After a few days of R&R anchored in White's
Bay, we sailed to Sacket's Harbor and met up with sailing friends Bob and Joyce
Leigh (see picture below). Don has known Bob and Joyce for 27 years (they
used to keep their sailboat in Sodus Bay, back when), and we've made a habit of
stopping to see them in Sacket's Harbor (where they keep their current sailboat,
Finaleigh) every year on our vacation. Given that, we couldn't miss seeing
them one more time before sailing off into the blue yonder.
Bob and Joyce are our sailing role
models. If Don and I are doing even half as well as they
are by the time we are their age, we will feel extremely lucky. It was
great fun to see them.
