Things are going well as we head into our third day
under sail on our way to Panama. There has been no more downwind rig
calamities to report and no additional items of value lost overboard (neither
one of us has gone over either, which is always a good thing). Other than
a few rain squalls over night, things have gone well and we've made very good
progress as we continue with the wind and waves behind us. Even with the
rain squalls last night, we really couldn't complain as we surfed down the waves
(8-9ft) under a full moon.
Right now we are sailing through another rain
squall. As I sit here all comfy and cozy in the main cabin typing this,
Don is in the cockpit looking after the boat and getting pelted with rain.
It's only fair since it's his watch. Besides, it's 85 degrees out, so a
little rain is a nice way to cool off.
Hope you Northerners are enjoying your winter as
much as we are enjoying ours.
