Another beautiful sunny day. But have I
mentioned the cold? The sun shines bright, but the freezing cold Atlantic
water causes us to dress like skiers. No less than 3 or 4 layers including long
underwear. It was 58F in our cabin when we got up this morning.
Brrrrrr - happy August. It was cold this morning, but check out
the Atlantic sunrise below. Very cool.
We are about 30 miles east of Halifax here in
Jeddore Harbor. We plan to arrive in Halifax tomorrow. Our cell
phone has finally come back to life - so it looks like this week's updates can
be sent tonight. Sorry for the delay but cell phone service in Nova Scotia
is a bit sparse.
Below is a picture of East Jeddore as we passed by
on our way to our current anchorage. It's been 8 days since we last
touched land and we are surviving just fine. Which reminds me of when
we arrived at the dock in Charlottetown, PEI and one of the fishermen that
helped us dock asked where we had come from. When I told him Lake
Ontario, he asked if we had come all that way with just the two of
us. I said for the most part we had, and despite that, still liked each
other. Then I asked him what he thought of that. He thought for
a moment and said, "I think that's a bonus!". Yup, definitely a
bonus.
