We made it to Summerside, PEI on Wednesday (8/1) at
about 2pm. The rest of our second 30ish hour sail went fine, although the
funky wave action made for tough sleeping conditions (it was like being rocked
in a cradle...but not softly and no one was there to sing a
lullaby).
Several more 'firsts' happened on this
leg:
1) This was the first overnight sail (with wind)
that we've done on this trip.
2) This was the first time I completed a night
watch by myself while sailing (which included sail adjustments and
whatnot). Doesn't sound like a big deal, but I was proud.
3) Very few spiders showed themselves due
to the new zero tolerance policy, therefore, very little violence took
place.
So, here we are in PEI (and plan to be for another
few days). More later on our PEI adventures.
