Everything is going well. The seas are calmer
than yesterday, which means it's fairly comfortable on board (no queasy people
today - everybody's face is a normal color). We are trying to move south
as quickly as possible to avoid some high winds so we are actually motoring into
a southern wind at this moment. We are also dodging some ugly
squalls(successfully dodging them so far).
We are happy to have the Gulf Stream behind
us. It wasn't that bad, but the waves were very 'confused'. One
dominant set of waves was coming from the southwest, while several other wave
patterns were coming from other directions. The result was what
looked like a sea of skiing moguls (the really big ones that only the experts
ski on)... Bill got some good pictures and when we get to St. Thomas and
have a high speed internet connection, I will post them to the
site.
Last night the sky was clear and the stars
incredible. Layer upon layer of stars up there. None of them seemed
familiar to us being this far south. Good thing we don't have to navigate
by the stars because it would be a struggle.(although Don does know how, of
course).d.
More tomorrow.
